Vegas Golden Knights Surprise Start
Six Games into the 2017/18 season and the Vegas Golden Knights have a 5-1-0 record. Not too bad for the inaugural season of an expansion franchise widely expected to be basement dwellers. Now we know six games is very early on in the season, so we don’t expect this pace to continue, but we can’t help but be impressed with VGK’s early success.

The Montreal Canadiens finished the 2016/2017 season with 103 points, good for eighth in the league, a major improvement from the 82 point season the year prior. Unfortunately for Canadiens’ fans, Montreal took an early exit from the playoffs this spring, being eliminated by the New York Rangers in the first round. GM Marc Bergevin has made some major moves this offseason, some more questionable than others.
